A journey dedicated to innovation in healthcare
Nicolas Schneider’s journey has been anything but linear. From the urgency of military fieldwork to the complex challenges of digital public health, each step has shaped a unique, hybrid, and committed vision. This timeline highlights the key moments that have forged an expertise now dedicated to responsible innovation.
Core Values: Rigor, Leadership, and Human Focus
2000 – 2016: Military Nurse (Officer)
Field Training: At the heart of the action for 16 years, I developed leadership and crisis management skills in complex, multicultural environments across Africa and the Middle East. I learned to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, anticipate challenges, and make rapid decisions under pressure.
Operational Strategy: These years helped me develop a keen sense for weak signals, strategic analytical skills, and the ability to innovate in constrained environments.
People as a compass: Above all, I learned a fundamental lesson—human beings are always the decisive factor, even in the most extreme situations. This conviction continues to guide my approach today.
Openness: International, Business, and Technology
2016 – 2018: International Business Developer – ENGIE Solutions
The International Arena: I developed my expertise in international business development by negotiating strategic partnerships worldwide and managing multi-country projects with multicultural teams.
A Passion for Technology: This experience deepened my understanding of technological challenges in a major industrial sector, opening new perspectives on innovation.
Expertise: Digital Transformation and Health Impact
2018 – 2024: PMO / Product Owner – Equasens / BOW Medical
Digital Health Transformation: I led complex digital transformation projects in the healthcare sector, focusing on process optimization, change management, and innovation.
Supporting Key Stakeholders: I assisted University Hospitals (CHUs), Territorial Hospital Groups (GHTs), and Regional Health Agencies (ARS) in their digital transformation by understanding their specific challenges and developing tailored solutions.
User-Centered Innovation: I implemented digital tools (EHRs, telemedicine, cybersecurity) with a user-focused approach, ensuring that on-the-ground needs were fully integrated.
2023 – 2025: France 2030 Expert – Bpifrance / PMO – Digital Health Startups
Accelerating Health Innovation: As a France 2030 Expert for Bpifrance, I evaluated high-potential HealthTech solutions and contributed to the allocation of €7.5 billion in innovation funding.
Supporting Startups: I structured high-potential MedTech and digital health projects, developed roadmaps, supported seed and Series A fundraising, and facilitated MVP launches and field proof of concepts.
A Vision for Digital Health: I believe in an interoperable, sovereign, and patient-centered digital health ecosystem.
